October Curriculum: Bones and Body Studies Spiders and their Webs

October 13th, 14th, 15th: No public school for grades K-6 If your child will be attending HCM these three days, be sure to pack a lunch and a swimming suit and towel.

Halloween Parties: Kidıs Party: Friday Oct. 29th, come in costume, bring in treats Adult Party: Saturday Oct.30th, come in costume, potluck, pay at the door. Live BandŠŠŠ.Barn DanceŠŠŠŠEveryone Welcome!!!!

Academic Studies: Progress Reports have been started for every child. Art files have been made for each class for your childıs work. You may check their file any time. The Kindergarten children have a special file to check for their academic studies. Please check their KG file as well. Please feel free to take home work that has been completed.

Marge has been teaching the children Spanish and the children love learning another language. Kelsey is thoroughly enjoying her students for riding lessons. All the horses are so well behaved and gentle with the children. The swimming pool remains a big hit with the kids as Sharon continues to teach with such positive reinforcement. Art class has been a joy for all. Jamyıs creative childrenıs art is wonderful and so are all the decorations around the class. Our curriculum is rich with studies with the participation of all the teachers adding to each theme. Jessica is our in house artist and production manager in the afternoons. A big thanks to all the staff for their cooperative spirit and enthusiasm.

Toddler Room: Calli will be returning to be the lead toddler teacher Nov.1st. Stacy and Angela will be working together this month until she returns.

Terri has decided to move back to California due to health and family reasons. She will be missed.

Janice and Ollie will be leaving on a trip down the Oregon coast Oct.5-15th, for their anniversary. Ashley Pedersen, their daughter, will replace Janice while she is gone. Ashley just returned from Alaska and will be developing a special Unit Study on the Coastal Native Americans of Alaska and Canada, for the children to enjoy in November. She will return to her studies winter quarter. Weıre very excited to have her for this period of time.
