Hazel Creek offers both full day and half-day Kindergarten programs. Enrollment can be for am or pm or both.
Public School buses provide transportation to and from HCM for both Captain Wilkes elementary school and Ordway elementary school. (Many of our students enroll at both the public kindergarten and Hazel Creek kindergarten program in order to continue with the Montessori form of education). Our curriculum allows each child to go at their own pace and continue with their Montessori studies.
Class size:
Classrooms have two teachers and a maximum of 20 students.
Our student-teacher ratio does not exceed 10:1.
Kindergarten students participate in our riding and swimming program.
Kindergarten for Montessori students is the icing on the cake, they continue to build on the skills they have acquired from the strong foundation of their pre-school years. Math, language and science are greatly emphasized during their kindergarten year.
